At the end of the day, the wind died down and the water started to still, so I knew it was worth a trip to the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center in Tavernier, FL. They have many birds who are rehabilitating in cages, and then a lovely natural beach, natural trees and plants, and all sorts of natural wildlife. Very few birds were interested in having their portraits taken on this day. But the moods of the sunset were spectacular. I met another photographer who had arrived, just after I did, also knowing this was going to be one of those sunsets.
This image can easily be printed large. You will want to walk right into the scene if it is large and on your wall. It will be gorgeous on glossy aluminum, or on the premium photo papers. Please spring for the Somerset Velvet or Picture Rag paper. Gloss would also be okay If you go with acrylic, use the wire mount.
