I was looking out over the mountain ranges in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. One storm had just passed, and another was blowing in. In between the storms, this glorious rainbow appeared, as I looked out toward the Black Mountain range and beyond. I made sure I set the proper f stop for rainbows, and added a special filter more accurately to capture the colors of the rainbow.
This image will look lovely printed on metal or paper. If you choose to go with a stunning mount to acrylic, then I recommend printing the image on metallic paper. That is the best combination for prints with an acrylic mount. Metal prints are also stunning, and are an economical way choice. Of course, traditional style prints on paper, with mats and frames, are always lovely.
Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image. The subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, street photography, macro and flower photography, to nature photography, to almost anything.
