I found this Monarch on a walk in Key Largo, on a weed in an open field. You can find the most amazing things when you slow down and look. This butterfly modeled nicely for me. I got burrs all over my pants, but it was worth it. Taken with my Sony Nex 7. I added a light texture over the background. Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image.
