At sunrise, at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center, I encountered this roosting pelican, who spent a long time looking at me. I thoroughly enjoyed my moments with this elegant bird. This image won an award in the annual bird show for the Art Guild of the Purple Isles in the Florida Keys, with entries of paintings and photographs.
If you print on paper, I recommend selecting Photo Rag or Somerset Velvet, although the other premium papers will work nicely also. The prints are much richer on better paper. I chose to print my winning show entry on glossy metal, at 30" x 20". It is stunning printed on metal, and canvas will also look nice, if that is your preference.

Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image. The subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, street photography, macro and flower photography, to nature photography, to almost anything.
