This water lily reflected in the pond at Fairchild Garden was the only bloom in the pond. I had the privilege of sitting beside it for a late afternoon, and then photographing it. It was a special encounter. This image will be lovely printed large, on glossy aluminum, acrylic or paper (or canvas, although I am not a fan overall of canvas for photography). If you print on paper, please spring for one of the premium papers, especially Cool Tone Picture Rag or Somerset Velvet, as the prints are much richer on better paper. They end up looking more like a painting. Glossy paper is okay also. If you go with Canvas, choose the glossy finish for this image.

Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina.
