During the pandemic, I kayak most days on Florida Bay. This sunset took my breath away and felt like silent and soothing poetry. Even when surrounded by turmoil and difficulty, beauty and inspiration still provide gifts and peace.

This image will look lovely printed on glossy metal. You will think that you can dive right into the water. If you print on paper, please spring for one of the premium papers, especially Cool Tone Picture Rag or Somerset Velvet, as the prints are much richer on better paper. Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image. The subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, street photography, macro and flower photography, to nature photography, to almost anything.
