On a foggy sunrise, I came upon this beautiful scene. I was at Anhinga Trail in Florida Everglades National Park. There are so many birds there in the morning. It always feels like paradise, so peaceful and tranquil. I created this artistic piece by layering multiple layers of textures over the photograph and carefully blending each in different ways. This artistic process creates an old master look, which matched the mood of the morning.
If you choose to print this image on paper, please spring for one of the premium papers, especially Watercolor paper or Somerset Velvet, as the prints are much richer on better paper. This image would also look lovely printed on canvas.

Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image. The subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, street photography, macro and flower photography, to nature photography, to almost anything.
