These wildflowers were growing along the Blue Ridge Parkway, under a wet outcrop. White Grasses of Parnassus dance with purple Gentian. I was thrilled to encounter these wildflowers and spent an afternoon with them.
If you print on paper, I recommend selecting Somerset Velvet or water color paper, under the Art Prints. The prints are much richer on better paper, and this painterly image will look best on one of the watercolor papers. This image would also look lovely printed on canvas or metal (glossy).

Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina. She practices mindful photography, sometimes known as contemplative photography. Mindful photography involves the practice of being as fully present as possible in the moment of creating an image. The subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, street photography, macro and flower photography, to nature photography, to almost anything.
