Description

I was able to lie above this resting whale for a long time. My own body gently bobbed up and down as I breathed, but the whale was still. Whales are mammals and conscious breathers. When they rest and sleep, they are perfectly still in the water.

Whale,
Below me,
Resting in stillness,
And graceful curiosity.
Me, floating
Breathing,
Rising, falling
Gently.
Totally, mutually, connected,
My consciously breathing friend
And me.
