These pond apple trees form their own islands off of the Anhinga Trail in the Florida Everglades National Park. I thought they were glorious and a bit mysterious in the sunrise fog. They are also called alligator apple and swamp apple tree. In this location, the anhingas roost and nest in them. Turtles and other creatures eat the apple like fruit.
If you print on paper, please spring for one of the premium papers, especially Cool Tone Picture Rag or Somerset Velvet, as the prints are much richer on better paper. This image would also look lovely printed on metal (glossy) or canvas.

Louise Lindsay is a photographer, living in the Florida Keys, and spending some time in the mountains of North Carolina.
